BETTY ANN ALFORD
1928 - 2013
Betty Ann Alford, 84, of Amarillo, Texas left us for her Heavenly Home on Friday, January 25th. The funeral service in her honor will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 29th at Lehman Funeral Home in Wellston, Oklahoma. The graveside burial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 31st at Memorial Park Cemetery in Amarillo.
Betty was born in St. Louis, Missouri on October 16, 1928. She lived in Amarillo for 74 years and spent the last 4 years living in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
She married Neal, the love of her life, on November 27, 1948. They spent 47 wonderful years together and were blessed with three children that have continued to grow their loving families. In addition to being the motherly head of her family, she was also a long-time member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Amarillo.
Betty is survived by her children, Rick Alford and his wife Rhonda of Bakersfield, California; Nellanne Fisher of Lubbock, Texas; Gary Alford and his wife Tonya of Wellston, Oklahoma; her wealth of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Shannon Watson and her husband Gary; Pamela Bogart and her husband Joe and their children Savannah, Ethan and Kholeton; Michelle Van Parys and her husband Chris and their children Wyatt and Aubriana; Tiffany Buck and her husband Joe and their children Jude and Pax; Preston Alford and his wife Jacey; Chelsea Fisher; Joshua Alford and his wife Crystal and their children, Makenzie and Izabella.
Memorial donations may be given on her behalf to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church at 6900 Hillside Rd., Amarillo, Texas.
