History of McCorkle Family Cemetery and the restoration of 2014.

McCorkle Cemetery is located near Chandler OK Lincoln County.
This cemetery was surveyed November 2009.

Directions: From the intersection of Route 66 and Highway 18 in Chandler, take Route 66 north two miles to 0890 Rd.
Turn west on 0890 Rd. and go approximately 2.5 miles. The cemetery is on the SW corner of 0890 Rd. and 3410 Rd.
It is partially fenced and there is no sign.

Note: Mrs. Joe Gibson owns this land {1965} which was homesteaded by her grandfather, Joel McCorkle.
She says she counted 36 graves one time, but knows there were many more burials there.
The McCorkle graves were moved after these inscriptions were recorded.
Now located in Oak Park Cemetery , Chandler. However, according to the cemetery records
at Oak Park Cemetery, Nellie Mae McCorkle is the only McCorkle buried there.
She remembers these listed below:
