Viola "Tommie" Pearl Webb passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024.
Tommie was born on Monday, March 8, 1943 in Kendrick, OK to Mearle and Thelma (Vickers) Blakley. Tommie and her family stayed around the Lincoln County area for many years. She attended and graduated Kendrick High School in 1961. She worked for Stroud Nursing Home as an aide for few years, but her greatest job was being at home and taking care of her family. Some of her favorite hobbies include catching a good yard sale, finding a good thrift store, dancing on Friday nights at the senior center and playing games especially dice. Tommie also enjoyed quilting, making all her grandbabies quilts. She also really liked to take pictures, often snapping pictures of her family. Tommie was so kind and thought the best of everyone and always put others first, her compassion, thoughtfulness and hugs will be missed.
Tommie was preceded in death by her parents Mearle and Thelma Blakley; husband Larry Webb; grandson Nate Webb; and sisters Fern McGhee, Phyllis Cook and Caron Blakley.
Tommie is survived by her son William "Bill" Chowning and wife Shelia; her daughter Julia Wilson and husband Kevin; her sisters Ivola Dowdy, Sharon Turner, Virginia Crook and husband Robert, and Pat Burton; her grandchildren Bridget, Cassie, Whitney, Randy, Jaci, Blake, Anthony and Traci; her great grandchildren Noah, Eli, Bristol, Cohan, Serenity, Stacey, Ryder, Travon, AprilRayn, Aliya, an Madison; she is also survived by many extended family and friends.
