Betty Jean Price Hildreth Quinn

Betty Jean (Price) Hildreth Quinn, a resident of Prague, Oklahoma, passed away surrounded by her loving family on February 22, 2021, at the age of 90 years old.

Betty was born on April 16, 1930, in Sparks, Oklahoma to William Harvey and Nancy Eve Price. She was one of nine siblings and grew up and attended school in the Sparks area.

Betty married Shirley Martin Hildreth, and together they had 5 children. He preceded her in death in 2000. On June 1, 2002, she married Cletis Quinn, in Prague.

Betty worked as a nurse’s aid at the Prague Hospital for many years. She was also a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, baking, and making candy. She especially enjoyed making cinnamon candy for her family around Christmas time. Betty also enjoyed sewing, cross stitching, and crocheting. Most recently, she spent time working on adult coloring books.

One of Betty’s greatest callings was that of “foster” mother. Through the years, she was a loving refuge for children, and through that, she was able to form a special bond with several of them, one being her foster son, Robert Arthur, who she fostered from the age of 3 until his death at age 18.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; a husband, Shirley Hildreth; her son, Floyd Hildreth; 8 siblings; foster son, Robert Arthur; and two sons-in-law, Wendell Dean Raines, and Starland Davis Sr.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 18 years, Cletis Quinn; daughters, Nancy Davis, Shirley Raines, Helen Clonts and her husband, David, and Naomi Brown and her husband, Stan; grandchildren, Betty Marie Phillips and husband, Billy, Starland Davis Jr. and wife, April, Rusty Willoughby and husband, Noah, Candie Gilman, Kellie Johnson and husband, Mike, Bobbie Watts, and husband, Jimmy, Stephanie Bowlan and husband, Brian, Jeremy Laduke and huband, David, Chase Clonts and wife, Liz, Michael Clonts and wife, Melissa, Kyler Clonts, Shane Brown, Dustin Brown, and wife Karie, and Brandon Brown, and wife Rebekah; a daughter-in-law, Becky Bevins; foster son, Eddie Barker; She is also survived by 45 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral services for Betty will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 26, 2021, at Calvary Way Church, Prague, Ok. Services are in the care of Parks Brothers Funeral Service, Prague, Oklahoma.
