David Wayne Buchanan, Chandler, Oklahoma, resident was born March 7, 1963, in Springdale, Arkansas, and departed this life on January 3, 2019, at his home in Chandler, Oklahoma, at the age of 55 years.
David was the son of James and Barbara (Green) Buchanan. He married Theresa Dunn on December 18, 1981, in West Monroe, Louisiana. David worked in the concrete construction business for many years. David enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Stroud, Oklahoma, the National Rifle Association and a life member of the North American Fishing Club. David will be greatly missed.
Survivors include, his wife, Theresa Buchanan; parents, James and Barbara Buchanan; children, Heather Jones, Lacy Collins, and Joshua Buchanan; one brother Allen Buchanan; two sisters, Debbie Chaney and Connie Buchanan; grandchildren, Victoria, Aubrey, Cyril, Maddox and Zachary; other relatives and many friends.
David's family will be receiving friends at Parks Brothers Funeral Home on Sunday, January 6, from 2:00PM to 4:00PM.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 7, 2019, at the Stroud United Pentecostal Church with Pastor Greg Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Davenport Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
