FRANCES ANNA WALENTA
1910 - 2011
Frances Anna Opela Walenta was born on October 27, 1910, in Prague, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Sunday, July 24, 2011, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 100.
Frances, the daughter of Joe and Frances Janik Opela, was a resident of Prague.
She married Leonard T. Walenta on February 7, 1934.
He preceded her in death on December 21, 2000.
Frances was a homemaker and a member of WFLA Lodge #46.
She loved gardening and working in her flowerbeds.
Her parents, five brothers and one sister also preceded Frances in death.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Delbert and Margaret Walenta of Prague; Fredrick and M. Margaret Walenta of Fairview; daughter, Kathryn Blocker of Prague; seven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
The Walenta family will receive friends at Parks Brothers Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 26, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at 2:00 p.m., at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Rev. Adrian Vorderlandwehr, OSB, and Bro. Tim Emmons officiating.
Interment will follow at Czech National Cemetery in Prague.
