1937 - 2004
Edith Clara Emery was born in Prague on July 23, 1937 and departed this life in Oklahoma City on June 11, 2004 at the age of 66.Clara was the daughter of Francis Riley Emery and Minnie Sekera Emery.She graduated from Prague High School in 1955.She worked many years as a personal secretary for L. P. Wilson in the First National Bank of Prague.Following her retirement from the bank she began a long career as a personal caregiver in the Prague area.She was a life-long resident of Prague, a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church and had spent the last several years being in charge of the children's nursery at the United Methodist Church in Prague.She was preceded in death by her parents and one infant sister.She is survived by two sisters, Cathy Tison of Moore and Ruth Emery of Prague; one aunt, Holly Sekeraof Prague; one cousin, Dayton Duggan of Birmingham, Alabama; five nieces and nephews; twelve great nieces and nephews; and three great great nieces and nephews.A wake service will be 6:00 p.m. today at Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Prague.A funeral mass will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Prague.The Rev. Adrian Vorderlandwehr, O.S.B., will officiate.Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Prague.
