AGNES MARIE COULTER

31 May 1939 - 19 Jan 2017

Agnes Marie Coulter was born on May 31, 1939, in Prague, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Thursday, January 19, 2017, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 77.

Agnes, the daughter of Louis and Lucille (Smith) Opela, was a resident of Prague. She was a 1956 graduate of Paden High School. Agnes married Dennis Coulter on September 11, 1956 in Okmulgee. She loved sewing, embroidering, crossword puzzles and helping others. However, nothing was as important to Agnes as spending time with her family.

Agnes’ parents, one brother, Edward Opela and one sister, Bertha Opela, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband Dennis Coulter of the home; sons and daughter-in-law Kenneth Coulter of Duncan and Charles and Candi Coulter of Duncan; brothers and sisters-in-law, Norman Opela of California, Richard and Jonna Opela of Prague and Gary and Oleta Opela of Prague; sisters and brothers-in-law Barbara and Bob Stone of Prague and Jeanie and Ronald Fields Miami, Texas and many other family and friends.

The Coulter family will receive friends on Sunday, January 22, 2017 from 3:00 – 5:00 PM at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 23, 2017 at 10:00 AM, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Randall Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Czech National Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
