Emily Carmen Chrastek passed from this life on January 3rd, 2019, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, at the age of 90. She was born on March 14, 1928, to Frank and Emma (Stastny) Ondrasek in Okfuskee County, Oklahoma. Emily married Cecil Don Chrastek on February 4, 1950. They made their home in Prague and were happily married for 60 years until his death in 2010. Emily’s greatest joy in life was her family. Even though she and Cecil had no children of their own, she was a mother and grandmother to her niece, nephews, their children and grandchildren and delighted in seeing those generations grow. She spent most of her working life in banking and retired from BancFirst in 1995. Emily was a member of ZCBJ Lodge No. 46 for over 50 years. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Cecil; her parents; siblings, Lillie Terry, and an infant brother and two sisters; and niece and nephew Sharon Corbitt and James Lang.
Her surviving family include brother, Bill Pryor, and his wife, Arlene; nephews, Edward Terry, John Terry, Charles Terry and Andy Pryor; great-nephew, Chad Corbitt, his wife Beth, and their sons Caleb and Chase; great-nephew, Blake Corbitt, his wife Amy, their daughter Callie and son Dylan; great-nephew, Chris Terry, and his wife, Adison; great-niece, Shannon Remerowski and her husband, Steve; great-niece Lindsay Candy, her husband Jonathon and their sons, Dylan, Ethan, Lucas and Noah.
Aunt Emily was the matriarch of our family, and her loss is felt deeply by all who her loved her. We are grateful to her for her love and support throughout our lives and for setting a shining example of what it means to work hard, sacrifice for others and love your family.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at Parks Brothers Chapel in Prague with interment to follow at Czech National Cemetery in Prague.
