GEORGE C. CERNY
1918 - 2003


George C. Cerny, 85, died Monday, December 22, 2003, at the home of his daughter in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Born in Prague, Oklahoma, he retired from International Harvester Company in 1982, after a 37-year career.
He began his career in Fresno, California, and upon retirement, was a Chief Warranty Analyst at the Reliability Center in Fort Wayne.
He had a distinguished military career as a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Army with the 100th Division, 375th Field Artillery Battalion-Battery A, serving in France and Germany during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Beverly Spicer-Cerny.
He is survived by his son, Randy {Kelly} Cerny of Ceres, California; and his daughter, Jeri {Roy} Boneff of Fort Wayne; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services are pending at the Czechoslovakian National Cemetery in Prague, Oklahoma.
Memorials to Visiting Nurse Service and Hospice or Cancer Services of Allen County.
Arrangements by Northeast Indiana Cremation Society.
