Mabel Christine Friend, Chandler, Oklahoma, resident was born December 11, 1929, in Carney, Oklahoma, and departed this life on January 20, 2019, in Chandler, at the age of 89 years.
Mabel was the daughter of Herbert and Linnia (Ballard) Williams. She married Ervin McLain, after his death she married JD Friend. Mabel enjoyed dancing, playing bingo, and fishing. She will be greatly missed.
Her parents; husband's; one sister, Evelyn; three brothers, Carl, Ralph, and Charles preceded Mabel in death.
Survivors include, her children, Shirley Quinn and husband Vernon of Stroud, Oklahoma, Harold McLain and wife Ronna of Wellston, Oklahoma, Sherri Quinn and husband Chuck of Stroud, Oklahoma, James "Bud" McLain and wife Donna, of Wellston; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Chandler with Father Tim Ruckel officiating. Burial will follow at Chandler Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
