Shannon was born to Gary and Bobbie Rhyne on December 19, 1972, in Tulsa, OK. At the age of 51, Shannon Melot, Granny Shani, finished her race here on earth July 3, 2024. She was welcomed into Heaven with arms open wide and left this earth peacefully while surrounded by her loving family.
Shani was a woman of many roles. She was a wife, mom, granny, nurse, chef, caretaker, and maker of the world's best brownies. Shannon's love for her husband was unquestionable and together they built a marriage everyone aspired to. Shannon showed love to her children in many ways whether it be catching 80mph baseballs or driving to Walmart for last minute class projects. She never let her kids doubt the love she had for them. She loved spending time with her family although it often would lead to a testing of her nursing skills. Her grandkids visited often and were always greeted with popsicles, peeps, or any other sweet she could find. Shannon enjoyed throwing parties, showers, and family dinners as long as it was done the right way, which was her way. She always displayed a servant's heart as she would do anything for anyone no matter the hour. The time, energy, and effort she spent supporting her people will always be remembered. If you knew Shannon, you know that her laugh could bring a smile to anyone's face so as a family we hope that your memories continue to bring that same joy.
Survived by her husband of 28 years Mike Melot; three children, her son Deven Melot and wife Lauryn, son Samuel Melot and wife Kristen, daughter Emma Holman and husband Jacob; four grandchildren Caiden, Kole, Denver, Harper; parents Gary and Bobbie Rhyne; and her siblings, sister Kacey husband Tim, brother Zach wife Jamie, as well as many more friends and family.
