Edora Dethloff Morton Brooks was born October 27th, 1931, in Avery, Oklahoma, to Ernest Dethloff and Myrtle (Butcher) Dethloff. She passed from this life February 7th, 2017, at her home in Buffalo Valley, Oklahoma.

Edora was preceded by her parents; Ernest Dethloff and Myrtle (Butcher) Dethloff, her 1st husband; Raymond Morton, sister Leota Brown, and two great grandsons; Kendal Pogue and Robert Michael Mendosa.

She is survived by her husband, James (Jake) Brooks, sons; Alan Morton of Albany, Oregon and William Morton and wife Katie of Albequerque, New Mexico. Daughters; Paula Kirkendall of Cushing, Oklahoma and Pat Mendosa and husband Bob of Westminster, California, a sister; Bonnie Kolbom, and friends Gary and Celina. Grandsons; Johnny and Kenneth Pogue, Andrey, Chase and Aaron Morton, and Michael Mendosa, granddaughters; Joann Peters, Janice Rogan, and Jennifer Pogue, 22 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and loved ones.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, February 11th, 2017, 10:00 AM, at Summerfield Cemetery in Summerfield, Oklahoma. Officiating will be Artis Potts.

Pallbearers will be; Johnny Pogue, Kenneth Pogue, Eddie Briggsman, Dustin Briggsman, Gary Walls, and Glen Hamilton.
