View Lifestories Video Tribute Mrs. Naun Earle Barnes, 80, of Summerfield. , passed away at Wednesday, July 18th, 2007 at her residence.
Mrs. Barnes was born in Whitesboro, Oklahoma on August
16, 1926, the daughter of the late Lafe and Cleo (Woods) Anderson.
She was the wife of Tony Barnes. They were married April 17, 1945 in
Poteau, Oklahoma She worked as executive vice-president of North
Kansas City State Bank in North Kansas City, Missouri. She was a
member of the Summerfield Baptist Church, the Pilot Club of North
Kansas City, Missouri and the Busy Bee Quilting Club of Summerfield.
She was a hard worker, loved quilting and made some beautiful
quilts. She enjoyed being outdoors and fishing with her husband. She
was a beloved wife and mother who will be missed very much.
She is
survived by her husband, Tony Barnes of the home; one son Joe A. and
Tamara Barnes of Largo, Florida, one granddaughter; Jamie Barnes of
Chicago, Illinois; four sisters and three brothers-in-law; Juanita
and Jay Burnett, Ada Tema and Herman V. Wylie, Mildred Sue and M.K.
Dereck all of Summerfield, Oklahoma, Merzel Watkins of Thousand
Oaks, California; one brother and sister-in-law; Kenneth and
Waltreta Anderson of Summerfield, Oklahoma; numerous nieces, nephews
and a host of friends.
She was preceded by her parents; one grandson; Jason Barnes; one brother-in-law; A. A. "Butch" Watkins.
Pallbearers for the service will be Harrell Turner, Bobby Lewis, Charliie Griffith, Kendal Carpenter, Davey Owens, Richard Gibson and David Gibson.
Services will be held at the Summerfield Baptist Church, Saturday, July 21, 2007 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Charles Caughern and David Gibson officiating.
Interment will follow at the
Summerfield Cemetery under the direction of Talihina Funeral Home.
