He was born April 26, 1922 in Howe. He served in World War II. He was a grocery clerk in ener for many years and retired from McAlester Production Credit Assoc. as a field man.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Lewis and Opal (Johnson) Tiffee; a sister, Vernice Clark; and a brother, Glenn Tiffee.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ellen Crawford Tiffee; a son, Harlan Jr. and wife Lucille of Fayetteville; two grandsons, Kelly and wife Pam of Fort Smith and Kevin and wife Hillaree of Fort Smith; five great-granddaughters, Chanley, Kaylee, Andee, Ellie, and Toree; and numerous other relatives, friends, and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Truman Hill, Brad Hill, Charles Johnson, Bob McGaugh, Rex Ragon, and Kenneth Self.Services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Fellowship in Rock Island. Reverend Rick Hedrick will be officiating. Interment will be at Springhill Cemetery in Howe.
In Lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made in Harlan's honor to the Friendship Baptist Fellowship, P.O. Box 583, Pocola, Okla. 74902 or the Gideon's International.
The
family will receive guests from 1 p.m. until service at 2 p.m.
at the Friendship Baptist Fellowship in Rock Island.
Arrangements are under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral
