Mary Sue Bacon, 103, of Talihina passed away, July 20, 2011 at the Talihina Manor Nursing Home.She was born on April 19, 1908 in
Albion, Oklahoma to the parents of Virgil and Nancy Maude Panter.
She taught school for several years in Albion and the children
enjoyed being one of her students. She married Wilkin Bacon on May
23, 1931 in Talihina, Oklahoma She was a faithful member of the
Talihina Church of Christ. She enjoyed spending time with her
mischievous twin sisters and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughters; Linda
Chancellor and Barbara Bacon, sister, Eunice Cumpton.
She is survived by a sister, Lois Stevens of Talihina, niece, Mary
Braund-Proulx and Armand, nephew, Gerald Cumpton of Talihina,
grandson, Jeff Dunn of Santa Monica, California, great-grandson,
Girard Dunn and other relatives.
Pallbearers for the service will be Leon Cranford, Nathan Russell,
Casey Bethel, James Bethel, Scott Medders and Deon Roberts.
Services will be held Sunday, July 24, 2011 at the Talihina Church
of Christ with Phil Smith officiating.
Interment will follow at the Old Talihina Cemetery under the direction of Talihina Funeral Home.
