(Poteau News, April 11, 1918)

Belle Self and Martin had another son. Ai Self.

He is listed as Aye Self on some of the census. Ai Self married Dottie Lands in 1906. They had a son named Loid around 1910 who died before he was 10 and in 1912 they had William Ellsworth Self.

Ai is supposed to be buried in Oakland Cemetery. It is assumed his son Loid is as well but haven't been able to confirm.

A. Self died at his home near Joplin, Mo., last Sunday, April 7, of pneumonia. He was born April 7, 1895 in Poteau to Martin and Belle (Trotter) Self. He leaves to mourn his passing his parents, who reside east of Poteau, his wife and a host of friends.

Burial was in Oakland cemetery.
