Mildred Delores Russell

Mildred Delores Russell, 77, of Poteau, passed away Monday, Oct. 21, 2002, in Fort Smith. She was born June 6, 1925 at Drumright. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Armitte (Huggins) Allen; one son, David Russell Jr.; two sisters, Edna McGrath and Shirley Firestine; four brothers, James, Johnny, Conalee and Rueben Allen; and two granddaughters, Candace Peters and Cynthia Burkeen.
Survivors include her husband David of the home; two daughters, Dava Battles of Fort Smith and Donya Russell of the home; one son, Dennis Russell of Anaheim; one stepdaughter, Terry Rinebold; one stepson, Thomas Russell of Dexter, N.Y.; seven grandsons; two granddaughters; six great-granddaughters; one great-grandson; two sisters, Donna Malki of Ontario, Calif. and Alice Mars of Alma; one brother, Virgil "Sonny" Allen of Fort Smith; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones; and a host of beloved friends.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24 in Evans Chapel of Memories at Poteau with the Rev. Clyde Hess officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery at Poteau under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
