Mollie Amanda Bennett, 95, of Poteau, passed away Monday, Feb. 11, 2002. She was born May 22, 1906 in Izard County, Ark. to John and Fannie Caldwell.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J. Bun Bennett; one sister, Lenora Bolding; three brothers, Jerry, Clyde and Henry Caldwell; one grandson, Jason Roberts; one son-in-law, Joe Burton and one stepson, John Bennett.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Wilma Jean Burton and Phyllis Irene and Vernon Roberts, all of Poteau and Dama Jane and Bill Butler of Park Hill; three sisters, Fern Hargrove of Hugo, Eva Jenson and Sibyle Ollie, both of Poteau; two brothers, Jack Caldwell of Muskogee and Joe Caldwell of Hugo; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and loved ones and a host of beloved friends.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13 at Oakland Cemetery Pavilion with the Rev. Jimmy D. Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
