Cynthia
Deane "Cindi" Lennier, 60, of Muskogee, OK, formerly of Ninnekah, OK, passed
away on October 9, 2024. She was born August 12, 1964 in Chickasha, OK to
Charles and Carol (Kerr) Lennier.
Cindi graduated from Ninnekah High School in 1982 and earned her Bachelor of
Science in 1991 from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK. Cindi
worked at Walmart in both Chickasha and Ft. Smith, Arkansas before going to
Tahlequah to finish her college degree. She then went to work for the Muskogee
Phoenix newspaper in 1997 as a graphic artist until her passing.
Cindi had many hobbies, most of which she enjoyed with her family, like the love
of riding motorcycles with her mom, dad, and siblings, learning to ride at just
5 years old. She kept that passion her whole life, even sharing it with her
nephew when he would visit as a teenager. You could often find her at the family
cabin at Lake Wister, where she spent time with her sister, enjoying the
solitude away from the busyness of daily life. She especially liked stargazing
from the top of the 'Crow's Nest' and taught her niece the constellations and
names of the stars. She was a video game and technology wiz and was always the
one to call if you had a computer question.
She is preceded in death by her father, Charlie Lennier, whom she lovingly
called Daddy, of Poteau, OK.
She is survived by her mother, Carol Lennier of
Poteau, OK; her sister, Lesli Lennier of Muskogee, OK; her brother, Mike Lennier
and wife, Karen of Chickasha, OK; niece, Katheryn Ford and husband, Andrew and
their children, Ian, Karigan, and Nolan Ford of Chickasha, OK; nephew,
Kristopher Lennier and wife, Corey and their son, Ledger Lennier of Tuttle, OK;
aunt, Roma Spradley of Hackett, AR; uncle, James Robert Lennier of Virginia;
aunt, Gilbert Stone of Poteau, OK; uncle, Jerry Kerr of Muskogee, OK; as well as
many cousins and friends.
Interment of ashes will be in Poteau, OK near family at Oakland Cemetery.
Cremation is under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood, AR.
