Helen White Files

Helen White Files "Granny Files," 81, of Poteau, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2002. She was born June 23, 1920 in Poteau to Bob and Elsie (Goatcher) White.
She was a retired bookkeeper from Smedley Chevrolet and loved to sew and do arts and crafts. She used to love to water ski and ride motorcycles.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband Olen of the home; one sister, Pearl Roberts of Oklahoma City; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and loved ones; and a host of beloved friends.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 5 at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau with the Rev. Jimmy D. Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
Pallbearers will be Danny Baxter, Johnny Cooper, Don Chitwood, Glendon Chester, Jess Broyles and Jack Broyles.
