Dora Mae Miller Steward, 75, of Poteau, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2002, in Baton Rouge, La. She was born June 2, 1926 in Chandler.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Poteau. She was a homemaker,, an avid Atlanta Braves fan and enjoyed collecting baseball cards.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleve Edward Steward; her parents, Ray and Ethel (Hayes) Miller; two brothers, George Miller and Donald Miller; and two sisters Ruth Gage and Dorothy Mitchell.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry Edward and Connie Steward of Baton Rouge, La.; two granddaughters, Caty and Jenna Steward of Baton Rouge; one brother, Glen Miller of Walston; numerous other relatives and loved ones; and a host of beloved friends.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 7 at Oakland Cemetery Pavilion with the Rev. Jimmy D. Cook officiating, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
