Imogene Maxine Owens, 92, of Talihina went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, February 15, 2020.
Imogene was born April 18, 1927 in Talihina to Roosevelt & Josie (Woods) Bacon. She loved being outdoors, fishing, going for drives, garage sales, cooking for family gatherings, playing chinese checkers and dominoes and she loved animals. She was known for her quick wit and was a joy to be around.
Imogene is preceded in death by her parents, husband Benjamin Franklin Owens, daughter Olivia Raby, son Dwight Davis, brothers Everett Bacon, Theodore Bacon, Leonard Bacon and Elmer Bacon.
She leaves behind a loving family that includes her children Tommy Davis of Aberdeen, Washington, Floyd & Phyllis Davis of Wilburton, Kenny & Diane Davis of Magnolia, Texas and David Davis of Talihina, siblings Melba Bowman of Talihina, Wilburn Bacon of Talihina, Thelma Johnson of Honobia and Jerline Flowers of Tulsa as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends.
Pallbearers for the service include Bryan Davis, Walter Davis, Wayne Davis, Timothy Davis, Orie Smith, Moses Harjo and honorary pallbearers Ninta Jones and Jonathan Davis.
Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Burkhart Funeral Service of Talihina.
Funeral services will be held at noon Friday, February 21, 2020 at Grace Indian Baptist Church with Rev. Raymond Johnson officiating.
Interment will follow at
the New Talihina City Cemetery under the direction of Burkhart Funeral Service
of Talihina.
