© Parks Brothers Funeral HomeStanley Brent Scott was born in Wakeeney, Kansas on November 26, 1962 and departed this life at Stroud, Oklahoma on Thursday, December 24, 2015 at the age of 53 years.
Stan was the son of John Bruce and Mary Carolyn Anderson Scott.
He was a resident of Stroud for 19 years.
He married Beth Harper on July 24, 1993.
He taught school and coached for 30 years, 18 being at Stroud. He was a member of the Oklahoma Coaches Association. In 2013 he was inducted into the Owasso High School Hall of Fame.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Stroud.
Surviving family members include Beth of the home, two daughters, Peyton and Taylor Scott both of Stroud, one granddaughter, Allicyn Scott of Stroud, his father, John Scott and his wife Jeanne of Sapulpa, one brother, Steve Scott of Tulsa, two nephews, Jacob Campbell of Oklahoma City and Justin Scott of Locust Grove, two nieces, Gena Waugh and Amy Green both of Edmond.
He was preceeded in death by his mother and maternal and paternal grandparents.
Funeral services will be held at the Stroud High School Coliseum on Tuesday, December 29 at 10:00 a.m. with Kevin McCarty and Rev. James Bond officiating.
Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. at New Hope Cemetery in Spiro, Oklahoma officiated by Rev. James Smith under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
