Funeral services for Benton W. Elmore were held at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau, Oklahoma, on Thursday, January 19, 1995, at 2:00 p.m. Officiating was Reverend Mike Bunch. Mr. Elmore was born April 28, 1932, and passed away January 16, 1995.
Surviving are his wife, Mary A.; one son, Eugene; three daughters, Kay Hopkins, Pat Newman, and Brenda Cantrell; three brothers, Lester, Fred, and James Elmore; eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Interment was in New Hope Cemetery near Spiro, Oklahoma. Evans and Miller Funeral Service of Poteau and Pocola, Oklahoma, was in charge.
