Betty Jo Barron, 79, of Muse, Oklahoma, passed away February 21,
2011 in the Eastern Oklahoma Medical Center, Poteau, Oklahoma.
Betty was born on October 9., 1931 to J. T. and Eppie (Short) Wright
in Donna, Texas. She was a homemaker enjoyed being a wife, mother
and grandmother. She was on the election board for over 20 years.
She was a life long member of the Muse Baptist Church, she served as
Sunday School teacher, which she enjoyed.
She married Billy Barron on July 3, 1948 in Van Buren, Arkansas,
they were married almost 63 years. Betty will always be remembered
by her sweet smile.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, three
brothers, a granddaughter, Nancy Kay Barron.
She is survived by her husband, Billy Barron of the home, sons;
Russell Barron of Talihina, Michael and Leiann Barron of Mena,
Arkansas and Ricky Barron of Muse, nine grandchildren; Lisa Davis,
Michael Barron, Joe Barron, B. J. Barron, Russell Barron, Bandy
Barron, Lindsey Mausby, Maverick Barron, Rikki Barron, fifteen great
grandchildren; Kinley Barron, Jayde Tidwell, Brook Davis, Briley
Barron, Michelle Barron, Shaye Barron, Katelyn Kupee, Saddler
Barron, Hunter Tidwell, Schayla Davis, Ethan Hust, Merissa Barron,
Makala Barron, Jackson Barron and Messina Barron., three sisters;
Lottie Belflower, Bertie Klostervoer and Leafie Gray all of
California.
Pallbearers for the service will be Buddy Barron, Michael Barron,
Joe Barron, Bandy Barron, B. J. Barron, Russell Barron. Honorary
pallbearers will be Ricky Brannon, Paul Robinson, Vern Hunter,
Vernon Johnson, Ike Humphreys and Denver Johnson.
Services will be held Friday, February 25, 2011 at the Muse Baptist
Church at 2 p.m. at the Muse Baptist Church with Rev. Carrol
Fitzgerald and Rev. Jeff Caughern officiating.
Interment will follow at the Muse Cemetery under the direction of Talihina Funeral Home.
