Kenneth Eugene "Sonny" Goines, 57, of Phillipsburg, Missouri, died Monday, January 24, 2000, in Springfield, Missouri. He was born December 7, 1942, in Panama, Oklahoma.He was the son of Edgar & Earline ( Darneal) Goines.
He was a member of the U.S. Army, retired.
Mr. Goines was preceded in death by his father, Edgar, and one brother, Sherman Goines.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela Goines, of the home; two daughters, Rebecca Michalski of Lahabra, California, and Teresa Goines of Phillipsburg, Missouri; one step-daughter, Tiffany Locklear, of the home; two sons, Kevin Goines of the home, and Robert Goines of Berne, Indiana; one step-son, Gino Locklear, of the home; mother and step-father, Earline and Warren Carter, Chico, California; one sister, Eddye Baker, Willows, California; three brothers, Earl Wayne Goines, Pocola, Oklahoma, Larry Goines, Cameron, Oklahoma, and Robert Goines, Poteau, Oklahoma; two granddaughters, Adrianna and Brianna; two grandsons, Casey and Jacob; three nieces and six nephews; special, devoted friends, Gary and Shirley Sansoucie and Sarah Steel; numerous other relatives and loved ones; and a host of friends.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 28, at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, Oklahoma, with burial at Greenhill Cemetery, Cameron, Oklahoma. Reverend Jim Cook will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Keith Darneal, Clinton Darneal, Scott Goines, Roger Claphan, Eddy Goines, and Gary Sansoucie.
Arrangements are under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home, Poteau, Oklahoma.
