Burial will follow at Fort Coffee Cemetery in Fort Coffee, Oklahoma under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Spiro, Oklahoma.
Rezella was born April 18, 1950 to George and Elnora (Bledsoe) Black in Hooks Texas. She went to be with the Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 29, 2020 in Texarkana, Texas. In the early year of 2018 she moved back to her hometown Hooks, Texas where she reunited with her home church Cedar Springs Baptist where the Reverend Willie Betts now Pastors. She met and married Richard “JD” Johnson on November 13, 1978, where she was a faithful wife until his departure in May of 2001.She is preceded in death by her husband Richard “JD” Johnson, her parents, George and Elnora Black, her daughter, Tammy (Black) Bruce, and her son, Charles Edward Black.
Ms. Johnson leaves to cherish in her memory one daughter, Elisha Sims and husband Tyrone, two sisters, Linda Scott and husband Glen and Delphia Daniels and husband Robert, three brothers, Steve Black and wife Joyce, Bonzo Black and wife Denise, and Robert Black and wife Monica, 6 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, Vernon Phillips and Gloria Colbert, one brother-in-law, Gary Johnson, and her full time, loyal companion for many years, Sylvester Swaite.This site may be freely linked, but not duplicated in any way without consent.
