The body of Tommy Ray Wade was found Dec. 24, 1999, in Panama. He was 36. Mr. Wade was born Dec. 30, 1962. He was reported missing Oct. 6. He was born Dec. 30, 1962, in Stigler, to M. J. "Bud" and Virginia (Morgan) Wade. Mr. Wade was an air conditioning technician. He was preceded in death by his father; maternal grandparents, Sam and Edith Morgan; and paternal grandparents, Ben and Bernice Wade. He is survived by his wife, Vicky Ellis, of the home; three sons, Josh, T. J. and Donnie Wade, also of the home; mother and stepfather, Virginia Wade and Kenneth Tomlinson of Panama; brother, Buddy Wade of Siloam Springs, Ark.; three sisters, Patty Walls of Siloam Springs, Barbara Forrester of Poteau, and Jackie Umphrees of Carson City, N.V.
Services were 2 p.m., Monday, Jan. 3, 2000, at the First Assembly of God Church in Panama. Burial was at the Old Bokoshe Cemetery in Bokoshe. Officiating were the Rev. Brian Smith and the Rev. Doyle Walls. Arrangements were under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home in Poteau.
