Harrell Tolbert Obit
Harrell Hardy Tolbert, 87, of Bokoshe, died Monday, April 5, 1999, in a Fort Smith, Ark., hospital.
Funeral services are Wednesday, April 7, 2 p.m., at First Assembly of God Church in Bokoshe, with Rev. Lynn Bullard and Rev. Jim Cook officiating. Burial will be in Old Bokoshe Cemetery.
Born March 11, 1912, at Bokoshe, Tolbert was a farmer/rancher, and worked for Garland Coal and Mining and as a night watchman.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Herman (Dub) and Sharon Tolbert of Bokoshe; two daughters and sons-in-law, Martha and John Bell of Bokoshe and Janie and Ted Johnston of Bates, Ark.; five grandchildren, Annette Christenberry of Cameron, Angie Dejarnette of Bokoshe, Shannon Bullard of Bokoshe, Dana Doshier of Panama and Chris Marshall of Shady Point; five great-grandchildren, Ashley and John Ross Christenberry, Alexa, Christina and Christopher Mar-shall; numerous other relatives and loved ones; a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Edna Tolbert; one brother, Arthur Tolbert; and his wife, Jessie Tolbert.
Arrangements are under the director of Evans & Miller Funeral Home, Poteau.
