Doris Elaine Coley, 66, of Whitesboro, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at her home.

Viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Jones Harkins Funeral Home Chapel in Wilburton, Oklahoma.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the South Rock Creek Baptist Church new Red Oak with Reverend Mark Pritchard and Reverend Martin Scott officiating.

The burial will follow at South Rock Creek Cemetery near Red Oak.
 

Pallbearers will be Jackie Kemp, Logan Johnson, Trey Kemp, Curtis Coley, Jeremy Coley, and Taylor Kenieutubbe. Honorary pallbearers will be Arnold Baker, Joe Williams, Jr. and Jimmie Williams.


Doris was born on August 24, 1956 in Talihina, Oklahoma to Hubert Kemp and Ruth Elaine (Baker) Kemp. She married Bobby Coley on July 13, 1982 in Pottsboro, Texas.

Doris graduated from Colbert High School with the Class of 1974. She enjoyed reading, coloring, cross-word puzzles, cooking, and gospel music. She was a member of the South Rock Creek Baptist Church.


She is survived by her husband of 40 years: Bobby Coley of the home; her brother: Michael Kemp and wife, Teresa of Denison, TX; her sisters: Judith Kemp Sheets of McAlester, and Darla Sue Accord of Denison, TX; her uncle: Arnold Baker and wife, Pat of Hartshorne; her aunt: Christine Baker of McAlester; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.


Doris is preceded in death by her grandmother: Sisen Baker; her grandfather: Dave Baker; her father: Hubert Kemp, Sr.; her mother: Ruth (Baker) Kemp; her brothers: Hubert Kemp, Jr., and Kenneth Kemp; her uncles: Joe Williams, Sr., and Matthew Kemp; and her aunt: Cecelia Williams.
