Mr. Dale Huddleston, 82 of Talihina, passed away on Thursday,
January 5th 2017 at Talihina Manor Nursing Home.
He leaves behind his wife of 60 years, Betty Louise (Quigley)
Huddleston; son, Gary Huddleston and wife Cindy of Poteau, Ok; son,
Danny Huddleston and wife Sheri of Muldrow, Ok; daughter, Kay
Huddleston and her companion Tim Malone of Talihina, Ok;
daughter-in-law Gail Huddleston of McAlester, Ok; twin brother Don
Huddleston and wife Joye of Falfa, Ok; brother Doug Huddleston of
Clayton, Ok; sister Lois Haynes of Talihina, Ok; 8 grandchildren; 9
great-grandchildren; and numerous close family members and friends.
He was born August 21, 1934 in Sardis, Oklahoma to Ben and Gladys
Huddleston. He married Betty Louise Quigley on September 29th, 1956
in Eugene, Oregon. They resided in the northwest until 1972 when
they returned to Oklahoma.
He worked as an iron worker, ran a road construction business with
his brother, rodeoed for numerous years, and worked 13 years at the
Oklahoma Veteran�s Center before retiring in 1996.
He is preceded in death by a son, Ricky Huddleston; his parents Ben
and Gladys Huddleston; brother Dennis Huddleston; and three sisters,
Auda Lewis, Ida Venable, and Betty Northcut.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 10th, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at
the Talihina School Auditorium with interment at Laura-McGee
cemetery under the direction of Burkhart Funeral service of Talihina
Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be; Mike Humphreys, Donny Sisk, Chet Woodall,
Jeremy Bullard, Sam Duvall and W. F. Grammer. Honorary Pallbearers;
R.A. Robinson, Randy Leathers, Wayne Brinkley, John Kull, Vic
Rodgers, Roy Duvall, Gary Sparks and Bill Duvall.
