Janet Elizabeth Morris (74) passed from this life on July 7, 2020 at her home in Wilburton, Oklahoma.She was born on October 6, 1945 to Albert King and Lorene (Kirkes) King in Sardis, Oklahoma. Janet spent 25 of her years working as a Licensed Practical Nurse, until her retirement. In her free time, she enjoyed working in her yard, fishing, playing bingo, and traveling.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Albert and Lorene King; brother: Darrel King; sisters: Alice Martin and Charlene Hughes; son-in-law: James Wesley Stephens; step-daughter: Lily Morris; and step-son: Ben Morris.
Janet leaves behind her daughters: Tina (Stephens) Davis and husband Ricky of Wilburton, Oklahoma, Lori Close of Olivehurst, California, and Marcie Close of Topeka, Kansas; step-daughter: Gwyn Bedford and Butch of Clayton, Oklahoma; brothers: Jimmy King and wife Janet and Gary King and wife Kim; grandchildren: Amanda Simpson, Laquita Watson, Dwight Cheatwood Jr., Tristin Stephens, Shawn Close, James Scott, Carlton Williamson, Willie Williamson, Ty Dillard, Rachel Morris, Angel Marsh, Tamara Kitchens, Ty Kitchens, Cody Grey, Lauren Grey, and Matthew Grey; great-grandchildren: Kenny Watson, David Watson, Madison Cheatwood, Morgan Cheatwood, Wesley Stephens, Taylor Walker, Rosylan Stephens, and Silas Kai Hunter Cole; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 4PM at Cupco Cemetery in Yanush, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Service of Antlers, Oklahoma.
