Funeral arrangements for Ethel Hendershot , 47, were delayed pending word from relatives. Smith and Kernke funeral home is in charge.
She was born in 1893 and died Sunday, September 1, 1940 at Oklahoma City General Hospital of cancer five weeks after she was admitted. Mrs. Hendershot, 501 Northeast Fifth Street, had been in ill health for approximately a year.
She was reared in Hobart, Oklahoma and came here six years ago from Dallas, Texas. Mrs. Hendershot had been employed as a saleslady for five years at J.C. Penney Co. here.
