Mass of Christian Burial for Minerva Alonzo Aguilar was held at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Hobart, Oklahoma. Burial followed in Roosevelt Cemetery, Roosevelt, Kiowa County, Oklahoma under direction of Ray and Martha's Funeral Home Chapel. Rosary was held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Ray and Martha's Chapel Hobart, Oklahoma.

Minerva Alonzo Aguilar, of Dallas, Texas and former Roosevelt resident went home to be with God on June 9, 2012 at 9:15 a.m. at United Regional Hospital in Wichita Falls, Texas after suffering injuries from a car accident. She attended school and grew up in Roosevelt, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her father Julian Alonzo Sr., two brothers Thomas Alonzo Sr. and Junior Alonzo, the 2nd brother-in-law Thomas J. Shando and nephew Thomas Alonzo Jr.


Survivors include her husband, Lorenzo Aguilar, Dallas, Texas; her mother, Manuela Alonzo, Roosevelt, Oklahoma; four children: Noe Castillo, Jr. and wife Michelle, Altus, Oklahoma; April Castillo, El Campo, Texas; Ascension Castillo and wife Lisa, Dallas, Texas; Jennifer Castillo, Altus, Oklahoma; three brothers and six sisters: Simona Juarez, Atlanta, Georgia; Delores Price and husband Fred, Wichita Falls, Texas; Ruth Cardona and husband Celso, Altus, Oklaoma; Maria Coronado and husband Raymond, Frederick, Oklahoma; Gilbert Alonzo and fiancee' Tonya Burton, Roosevelt, Oklahoma; Emma Shando, Roosevelt, Oklahoma and special friend Phil Collmer, Hobart, Oklahoma; Julian Alonzo and wife Gina, Edmond, Oklahoma; Andy Alonzo and wife Suzi, Corpus Christi, Texas; Margie Jackson and husband John, Granite, Oklahoma; seventeen grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
