Norma Smith, age 82 of Wayne, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2019.

Norma Lee Woody was born August 25, 1937 in Perkins, OK. Her parents were Nub Toliver Woody and Annie Jewel (Blalock) Woody. On the day of her high school graduation, May 17, 1955 in Ft. Cobb, OK, Norma married the love of her life, a young man from Nowhere, OK named Floyd Edward Smith Jr. Together they raised 4 children; daughter, Sheryll and sons, Allen, Chris and Randy. She was a seamstress and floor supervisor at Sherri Classics in Purcell for many years. She also served as store manager at Loves for a time, eventually retiring as a seamstress for Cover Craft in Pauls Valley. Norma was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She cherished her family and friends and her dog, Lilly. She enjoyed sewing and baking and looked forward to family camping and fishing trips. She lived her faith and was a longtime member of the Wayne Church of Christ, serving as Sunday school teacher and Elder's wife. She will be forever remembered for her dish pan cookies during vacation bible school. She will be dearly missed!

She was preceded in death by:Her parents, Nub and Annie Woody; Sisters, Louise Wilhoit and Lavern Caldwell and Brothers, Ray Woody, Gerald Woody, Roy Woody and Jerry Woody.

Norma is survived by: Her loving husband, Floyd Smith of Wayne; Children,  Allen Smith and wife Connie of Wylie, TX, Sheryll Townsend and Tom Hammerschmidt of Loveland, CO, Chris Smith and wife Maria of Little Elm, TX and Randy Smith and wife Tammy of Kingston, OK; 23 grandchildren; numerous great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a large church family.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 10, 2019, at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow at 3:00 P.M. at the Mt. View Cemetery in Mt. View, OK.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wayne Church of Christ, P.O. Box C, Wayne, OK, 73095.
