Mountain Park Herald July 29, 1920

Clarence Elijah Hoover was born September 16, 1883 in Unionville, Iowa and died July 19, 1920 in Mineral Wells, Texas.
His sister, Myrtle said Clarence was always whistling “In the Good Old Summertime.” We would be in the field working and we could hear him coming whistling his favorite tune.,
Clarence was united in marriage August 8, 1908 in Butler, Oklahoma to Nora Girtrue Brookshire, daughter of David Brookshire and Hannah Coop. Nora was born July 16, 1889 in Davis County, Iowa and died of a stroke July 4, 1980 in Anadarko, OK.
To this union was born two children, Edna Mae and Curtis Eugene Hoover. Clarence and Nora divorced while the children were quite young and he moved to Mineral Wells, Texas. He had kidney problems (Bright’s Disease) which proved to be fatal. His body was brought home and laid to rest in the Mountain Park Cemetery along with his parents and other relatives.

BELOW IS THE ARTICLE THAT APPEARED IN THE PAPER.
WHOEVER WROTE THIS DID NOT SEEMINGLY KNOW OF HIS MARRIAGE AND FAMILY, SO
