Wilma Jean Koeltzow Lee was born August 1, 1937 in Sentinel, Oklahoma to Paul and Edna Koeltzow and passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 4, 2011 after a long and difficult illness. She grew up on a farm in rural Kiowa County where she at first attended a small country school and afterwards attended Hobart High School where she graduated in 1955. After graduation, Wilma enrolled in Hill's Business School while living at the YWCA in Oklahoma City. It was there she met the love of her life, Larry Lee, a young Air Force Airman from West Columbia, SC on New Years Eve, 1957. She and Larry were married March 8, 1958 and began an incredible love story that lasted more than 50 years. After traveling with Dad to all the Air Force Bases over the years and being by his side through thick and thin, they finally settled in Tuttle, Oklahoma in 1979. After retirement they traveled extensively and really just enjoyed their family and friends whom they loved and cherished. They were also active church members in the Senior Saints at St. John's Lutheran Church. Mom was the greatest mother ever-just ask us. She was also a devoted and loving wife, side by side, with, as she liked to say "her man".This site may be freely linked, but not duplicated in any way without consent.
