Bill Ferguson, age 64 of Tuttle, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 23, 2023.

William Harold Ferguson Jr was born October 1, 1958 in Paragon, Indiana. He was the oldest of four children born to Bill Sr. and Stella (White) Ferguson. Bill attended school thru 6th grade in Indiana, at the age of 12 is when his family moved to El Paso, there he attended Coronado High School.  He began his career in the auto industry working side by side with his father at the age of 16. In 1978 he started working at Dick Poe Toyota and Pontiac as their service manager. He worked there for many years, and he greatly enjoyed his work.   By 1990, he had moved to Hobart, Oklahoma. There he attended church regularly with his family and was baptized into the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn. While attending a church function on Labor Day Weekend, he met a young lady, Sonja Thomas, that later become his wife.  Bill and Sonja were married on June 15, 1991 in Beaver, Oklahoma and made their home in Oklahoma City where he then worked for Bob Howard Toyota and Orr Nissan for many years.  Later in life he decided to leave the auto industry and join his brother Jamie at Ferguson Roof Systems.  Bill loved watching OU sports, especially softball.  He also enjoyed coaching girls softball, where many of his players, excelled at the high school and collegiate level. Bill was a gifted musician and loved singing while playing his guitar and mandolin.  He cherished Sonja and spending time with his family.  His home was always open to everyone, where he loved cooking especially for big get togethers with family and friends.  Bill was a man of great faith and thoroughly enjoyed reading the Bible and visiting over the word of God.  He was a wonderful husband, brother, uncle and a true friend to many.  

He will be dearly missed!

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill Sr. and Stella Ferguson, his brother, John Ferguson, and a great nephew, Rhett Ferguson.


He is survived by: his wife, Sonja Ferguson and granddaughter Emma Noll; his sister Darla Chandler and husband Lynn of Tuttle; brother Jamie Ferguson and wife Crystal of Wayne; sister-in-law Tracy Ferguson of Hobart; and several nieces and nephews;  He was wonderful father figure to his great niece, Sable Bias as well as many others.  


Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 29, 2023, at the General Assembly and Church of the First Born, HWY 37 West, Newcastle, OK.  

Burial will follow at 3:00 P.M. at the Hobart Rose Cemetery in Hobart, Oklahoma.
