Henry E Patterson
Mar 15, 1884 - Nov 24, 1981
H. E. Patterson, 97, died Tuesday at the Park Lane Nursing
Home in Altus.
Services will be at 2:20 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church, Snyder, with
the Rev. C. C. Gober and Ernest Spann, officiating.
Burial will be at Fairlawn Cemetery, under the direction of Preston-Leckie
Funeral Home of Snyder.
He was born March 15, 1884 at Gorman, Texas. He came to Indian Territory in the
early 1900’s and was married to Jessie Lemaster Aug. 5, 1906 at Headrick.
They moved to Texas until 1915 when they returned to Oklahoma and established a
farm home in the Mountain Park Community. In 1925 they purchased a farm one mile
north of Snyder and lived there until 1950 when they moved to Hobart. They moved
to Park Lane Manor in Altus in 1974. Mrs. Patterson died in April 1974.
He was a retired farmer and a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Survivors include: two sons, Floyd of Snyder; Cecil of Alamogordo, N.M.; four
daughters, Mrs. Esther Jones, Longview, Texas; Mrs. Velma Anderson, Cache; Mrs.
Maxene Hagood, Altus; Mrs. Fern Hill, Headrick; two sisters, Mrs. Vera Deaton,
Tulsa and Mrs. Ada Burke, Richmond, Calif; and 20 grandchildren, 35 great
grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Jessie Pearl Patterson, 83, Hobart, died in an Altus Nursing Home Tuesday.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church, Snyder,
with the Rev. Walter Rhodes from Washington assisted by Rev. Dan Bates.
Burial will be at the Fairlawn cemetery. The Preston-Leckie Funeral Home is in
charge of all arrangements.
Born March 8, 1891 at Greenville, Tex., she came to Oklahoma with her parents,
the late Mr. and Mrs. Franklin (Frank0 Lemaster. In 1906 she married H. E.
Patterson in Greer County. They moved to Snyder in 1915 and lived there until
1951 when they moved to Hobart.
Survivors include her husband of the home, two sons, Floyd, Snyder and Cecil,
Oklahoma City, four daughters, Mrs. Esther Jones, Longview, Tex; Mrs. Velma
Anderson, Durant; Mrs. Maxene Hagood, Altus and Mrs. Fern Holloway, Headrick;
two sisters, Mrs. Artie Burnett, Rancho Cardova, Calif, and Mrs. Margie Smith,
Carlsbad, NM; two brothers, C.V. and Andrew, both of Altus; 17 grand children
and 25 great grandchildren.
