Funeral Services for Joan McDonald, 76, Enid resident, will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, November 24, 2023 in the Stittsworth Memory Chapel, Enid with Pastor Eric Granberg officiating. Committal prayers and internment will follow in Parvin Cemetery (Near Okeene) under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.
 

Joan was born on December 16,, 1946 in Okeene, Oklahoma, the daughter of Claude Earl Barnes and Rada Fern Berry Barnes, and passed away peacefully on November 20, 2023 at her residence. She was raised and educated in Okeene, graduating from Okeene High School with the class of 1964. Joan married Troy Irvin McDonald on July 20, 1963 in Okeene. They made their home in Okeene before moving to Hennessey in 1976. They moved to Enid in 1985. Joan devoted her life to raising her family. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, Kingfisher County Homemakers Association.

Survivors include her husband Troy of the residence; Son, Troy McDonald, Jr. of Enid; daughter, Teresa and husband Michael Coleman of Enid; grandchildren, Jessica and husband Matt Pickle of Spanaway, Washington, Ashley and husband Fernando Favela of Enid, Chelsea Williams of Enid, Adam and wife Megan Coleman of Stillwater; great-grandchildren, Addison Coleman and Bridgette Pickle. Sister, Claudine Hippard of Edmond; brothers, Harold Barnes of Lacey, and Doug Barnes of Okeene.

Joan was preceded in passing by her parents, daughter, Tina, grandson, Matthew Coleman.

Instead of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice Circle of Love in Joan’s memory.
