Written Apr 11, 1979

Crescent – Estella Vernon Hedrick, 97, died Wednesday in a Crescent nursing home. A graveside service will be conducted at 3 PM Saturday in the Ridgon Cemetery, northwest of Crescent, under the direction of Abernathy Funeral Home, Crescent.

The casket will remain closed.

Survivors include five children, Vern, Ventura, California, Mrs. D. B. (Elsie) Ferguson, Oklahoma City, Mrs. Ted L. (Doris) Cotton, Tulsa, and Ralph and Mrs. Raymond (Nellie) Smith, both of Crescent; 14 grandchildren; 36 great – grandchildren; three great – great – grandchildren, and one sister, Maude Teasley, Crescent.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two children.

Memorials may be made to the Anchor Rebekah Lodge at Crescent.
