A private family service for Barbara Jane Wheeler Yeoman, 88, will be held at 10:AM Monday May 11, 2020, in front of Oak Grove Church officiated by Ronnie Horn. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home, Hennessey. 
 
Barbara was born at Lovell, Oklahoma on July 21, 1931, to Lloyd and Louise Ramsey Wheeler and died Thursday May 7, 2020, at her home surrounded by her loving and devoted family. 
 
She graduated from Hennessey High School in 1949 and attended business college in Oklahoma City. Barbara was voted HHS Football Queen in 1948. 

She married George Lee Yeoman in Hennessey on September 10, 1950. She was very active in their dairy and farming and ranching business. She was a lifetime member of Oak Grove Christian Church and was a member of Surprise Home Demonstration Club for over fifty years.

Barbara is survived by two daughters, Pam Halverson of Russellville, Arkansas and Linda Wilcox and husband Larry; two sons Robert Yeoman and wife Cathy, Byron Yeoman and wife Carolyn, all of Dover; seven grandchildren Angela Woker and husband Jim, Heather Payne, Ryan Wilcox and wife Nicole, Jimmie Yeoman and wife Kathleen, Keri Benedict, Crystal Clark and husband Wendell, Brandon Hays; one brother Darby Wheeler and wife Pansy; one brother-in-law, Earl Marshall; one sister-in-law Mary Ann Minton; special friends Sharon Goodwin, Anna Jo Burge, Ira B. Mitchell, Earl Marshall; twenty one great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband George Yeoman, one sister Bea Marshall, and one infant brother, Lewis Lee Wheeler.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to Oak Grove Cemetery, First Christian Church of Hennessey, or to the charity of donors choice. The funeral home will servce as custodian of the fund.

Her legacy will live on in those who loved her.
