She was
born March 19, 1911 Northwest of Crescent, Oklahoma to Willie
“Bill” and Lanora (Mize) Sebring. On November 3, 1928 she
married Miles Williams in Guthrie, Oklahoma, he preceded her in
death on June 5, 1996.
Alma was born and raised northwest of Crescent. She moved to
Kingfisher and lived there 18 years while he husband Miles
served as the Sheriff. She then moved back to Crescent in 1974
where she remained until her death. Alma was a member of the
First Baptist Church in Crescent and she was a wonderful
seamstress, cook, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include, two sons, Max Williams and wife Betty of Crescent and Don Williams and wife Ginny of Tuttle, OK; one daughter, Lanora Turner and husband Bill of Tuttle, OK; one daughter-in-law, Betty Williams of Crescent; one son-in-law, John Taylor and wife Martha of Tuttle, OK; one brother, Harley Sebring of Seattle, WA; three sisters, Thelma Moran of Norman, OK, Phern Eubanks of Guthrie and Maxine Wilburn of Independence, KS; nineteen grandchildren, fifty nine great grandchildren and thirty five great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Miles, one son, Henry Williams, one daughter, Bonnie Taylor, one granddaughter, Kay Williams Lewis, two brothers, Fred Sebring and Frank Sebring and by one sister, Minnie Goodhue.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, February 29, 2008 at the First Baptist Church in Crescent with Rev. Bryan Haynes officiating, burial will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Abernathy Aaron Funeral Home in Crescent.
