The funeral for Max E. Miller, 80, of Dover, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009, at Central Baptist Church, Dover. Ellis Weber will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Arrangements are by Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home, Hennessey.

He was born June 9, 1929, in Hennessey to Noah Leroy and Rebeca Gallup Miller and died Friday, Sept. 18, 2009, in Hennessey Care Center.

He graduated from Dover High School. He married Barbara Weber April 23, 1950, in Dover. He was a member of Oak Grove Church, past president of Oak Grove Cemetery Association and past member of Cattleman’s Association.

Surviving are two sons, Max Miller Jr. of Crescent and Larry Miller of Hennessey; one daughter, Donna Barker of Crescent; one brother, Don Miller of Dover; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara, one daughter and one son.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Oak Grove Cemetery Association or Mission Hospice.
