Hennessey – the funeral for Mary M. Williams, 84, who died Wednesday at her home
in Oklahoma City, will be at 2 PM Friday at Cordry and Son Funeral Home,
Hennessey. The Rev. Clarence Herrin will officiate. The casket will remain
closed after the service. Burial will be in Lyon Valley Cemetery near Hennessey.
She was born May 21, 1906, at Norcatur, Kansas, to William and Dora Kious. The
family moved to a farm east of Hennessey in 1913. She and Ethraim Williams were
married October 20, 1927, and farmed in Union Chapel, east of Hennessey, until
1967 when they moved to Hennessey. In May 1984, they moved to Oklahoma City to
be near their daughter.
Surviving are her husband, and one daughter, Margie Williams of Oklahoma City.
She was preceded in death by one brother.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Kiamichi Mountain Ministry.
