Enid Morning News

The funeral for Charlie Wehling, 86, who died Dec. 2, 1991, at his home in Enid after a lengthy illness, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cordry and Son Funeral Home, Hennessey.

Burial will be in Lyon Valley Cemetery, northeast of Hennessey.

He was born April 9, 1905, on the family homestead northeast of Hennessey to August and Carrie Hawk Wehling.

Surviving are his wife, Berneice 'Bee' of the home; one son, Bill of Enid; one daughter, Betty Powers of Mulvane, Kan.; one stepson, Bill Mechura of Fort Worth, Texas; four sisters, Nell Felder of Bison, Lucy Marlatt of Waukomis, Daisy Dierksen of Meno and Evelyn Kelly of Derby, Kan.; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
