BISON — Funeral service for Ben A. Weber,
82-year-old Bison resident, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011,
at Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Tommy Donaldson
officiating. Burial will follow in Lyon Valley Cemetery, east of
Hennessey.
Ben was born May 15, 1928, on the Weber family farm to Frank and Ida
(Monroe) Weber and died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, at his home.
He attended Dover
On Dec. 11, 1949, he married Dolores Schulz at her parents home near
Douglas. They made their home in rural Bison.
He began working for Garfield County as a road grader, retiring in
1985 after nearly 30 years of service. He farmed as well and
continued to farm and take care of his cattle up until the time of
his death.
Ben enjoyed all types of hunting and fishing. He liked going to the
lake and spending time at his east place.
He is survived by his wife, Dolores, of the home; sons, Allen Weber
and wife Pat of Bison, Tim Weber and wife Tammy, also of Bison, and
Terry Weber and wife Donna of Covington; nine grandchildren; and 14
great-grandchildren. He also is survived by numerous nieces, nephews
and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to OMRF, lung and
heart division, or the hospice of the donor’s choosing.
