Enid News and Eagle ENID — A graveside service for Terry Lynn Taggart, 69, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 26, 2012, at Lyon Valley Cemetery, Hennessey. Pastor Fred Jones, of Dover Christian Church, will officiate.

A reception will follow at Union Chapel Church. Those who knew and loved Terry are invited to come and share their stories with his family and friends.
Terry was born July 8, 1942, in Enid, OK, and died December 2, 2011, in Albuquerque, N.M. ========================================================
From family reports Terry was born July 8, 1942 to Dee and Kathryn Taggart in Enid, OK and was raised near Hennessey, OK on a wheat farm.He became interested in art as a boy and graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1964 with a BFA in painting. Terry then attended the Ohio State University, where he was a teaching assistant, and from which he received his MFA in painting and lithography in 1967.
Terry met his future wife, Diane Salazar at Ohio State and following his graduation, they moved to Guam where he taught in the Art Dept. at the University of Guam. In 1969 they moved to New York City where he pursued his dream of painting professionally. Some of his paintings hung in the JAL terminal at JFK airport. They then moved to Albuquerque in 1973, where he became interested in adobe home design construction.
Terry is survived by his wife, Diane; son, David and his partner Hannah Epstein; daughter, Rebecca and her husband Michael Madigan; sister-in-law, Gloria Salazar and her daughter, Molly Salazar McGowan; brother, Tim Taggart and his wife Faye; sister, Carolyn Deaton, and many nephews, nieces and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dee and Kathryn Taggart.
