MULHALL - Delbert John , 53,
died Wednesday evening at his home following a farm accident. His
funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Union Chapel Church east of
Hennessey with Rev. Glen Miller officiating.
Burial will follow in Lyon
Valley Cemetery under the direction of Cordry and Son Funeral Home,
Hennessey.
Highway Trooper Carlton said
the body of Delbert John, of Mulhall, was found tangled in plow blades
of a tractor he was driving while plowing a muddy field.
Carlton said family members
began searching for John when he failed to return home from plowing.
They found the body about three hours later, Carlton said.
John was born March 15, 1920, in Marshall. He grew up in that community . On Aug. 6, 1969, he married Rosa Adams. They lived in Mulhall where he farmed. He was a member of the IOOF Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Rosa, of the home; one step-son, Tommy Webb,
Guthrie; one step-daughter, Mrs. Shirley Panick, Britton; three
grandsons; and his mother Mrs. Carrie John, Hennessey.
